The lawn area is used for annual Botany events, such as the final year Botany student barbecue, and from time to time for other one-off events. In May 2019 we held sale of plants which were grown at the garden from cuttings taken by Botany students as part of their core learning in plant propagation methods. It was very well attended by the public and many members of the Trinity College Community.
A favourite place to sit is under the shade of the beautiful Davidia involucrata; it’s large creamy-white, handkerchief-like bracts surrounding the flowers are a glorious sight in early summer.
