Gardens naturally draw many types of artistic exploration and interpretation.
We had a visit from a group of undergraduates from the National College of Art and Design in November. Led by their lecturer Olivia Normile, the students came to the Garden to explore space and form using plant subjects. Specifically, the students studied some of the many organic forms around the Garden, dividing tonal information from organic forms and emphasising naturally occurring geometric patterns using graph paper and different grades of pencil.
