We are delighted to announce details of our Cathcart Schuler Conservation Horticulture Internships at Trinity College Botanic Garden for 2024.
We are offering two internship positions to undergraduate students of Botany or Environmental Science in the Discipline of Botany at Trinity College. The internships will run concurrently for six weeks commencing 4th June and each comes with a stipend of €2000.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain practical skills in conservation horticulture in a botanic garden environment. Working alongside the Curator, Outreach Officer, and grounds staff, interns will receive on-the-job training in all horticultural, plant science and conservation work being undertaken; assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the living collections held in our glasshouses, walled garden, and arboreta; and assist with any outreach events that may be taking place. Every opportunity to broaden plant and plant cultivation knowledge will be encouraged and there will be a requirement to document and share activities and learning experiences in the form of a weekly diary, and blog/vlog posts on the garden’s website. Read about the experiences of previous interns in past student blogs:
